Hi, I am back with a fifth post and this time, i will be free from the homework which has been grabbing me and pulling me down into the dark dumps of homework! Muahahahahahahahahaha! Hopefully the word I just posted on the previous sentence will be counted two words due to its large bulk size. To take advantage of the situation, let me add one more of this super-large, super long files (in case of emergency, i will zip it and you will be able to see it). SSSSSIIIIIIGGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!

Now why am i sighing? Firstly,  it is due to the epic failures of all our projects during projects day. Firstly, a significant change of mood was present at the room (4A4). Firstly, one of nervousness, then relieved, then worried, then borrrred. Bored takes up 99.999 percent of it. of course, the feelings before it are important too, because they are all due to the epic fail of our project!!!

Firstly, we did not have any reflections, because we had not gone to the care corner. What? You don't know what my project is about? Well, we are supposed to go to Toa Payoh Care Corner to do service by teaching the old folks basic English and in turn, let them teach us dialects. This is to let them have more meaningful lives. So, after this presenting on my project, our dillemma is that we had not gone to the care corner yet!!! It was scheduled on 4th april, a monday, but when i phoned the organisation they said that the elderly were not in at the moment. LUCKILY, we had not gone yet. Besides, i had "pon"ed my malay lesson to go to the care corner but it was canceled in the end!!! By the way, 'pon'ed means skipped a lesson. And more ironically, 'pon'ed comes from pontek which means skip a lesson in malay! Which was what i done, except that I skipped the malay lesson!

Diaoz.

And besides that, the judges also questioned our need for service: HOW do we answer that?Luckily, our dear friend Aloy Oh also suffered that humiliation so we can "you fu tong xiang, you nan tong dan". So sorry. Switching of languages can happen very often if you listen to the Chinese Rep speak.

BTW, i heard that Ernest's group had a super good project. Is that true? Please comment. I congratulate on it, anyway.

So there. BB. I mean Bye Bye.

PS: One of our projects day prelim round judges was Mr Tan BB. he lived up to his name by being very nice to us and did not question us at all.

Some extra thingies

Yesterday night was the chinese drama about Tan Kah Kee. However, I'm not blogging about it today, but about somewhere that I went to last Saturday, which is very near the location Victoria Theatre is at.

Okay, suspense is not working here. I went to the Asian Civilisation Museum last week to view the exhibition on the Kang Xi Emperor, the chinese emperor ruling for the longest period of 60 years. It was very informative, with exhibits on how enterprising, clever and great this emperor was. Based on memory, I have recollected some information about him.

1. He had over 60 children from his two wives and 55 concubines. (The exact number might not be correct.) He and his first wife (known to be kind) were paired ina planned marriage, meaning that their parents chose them to be together. However, it was said that they were a loving couple and when she died, the emperor was ver much grieved and was sad for eons. However, he married again, and his second wife was kind and caring like the first and if i am not wrong, brought pride to the royal family. The sad part is that she died soon afterwards. After that second disaster, Kang Xi emperor never married again. Sorry for the lack of pictures, because photography is strictly unallowed by the museum people, but a strange characteristic was that the wives of the emperor had two holes pierced in each ear for each of them, and from each hole hang an earring with two pearls. (I would like to reiterate that this information is strictly taken from memory and may not be correct. Sorry.)

2. He was knowledgeable in areas of writing, science, and even archery. For some reason, he had already had a rifle which was showcased and had a length of about 1.2 m. He was known to have killed hundreds of rabbits, tens of tigers, wolves and other game. His largest haul from one day was over 300 rabbits. He was good at all aspects of science too, owning many scientific  instruments including a globe brought by explorers in the 17th century and a mechanical calculator created by Blaise Pascal. He even had a Mathematical set consisting of a protractor and other 3D objects such as spheres, prisms, cuboids, pyramids etc.

3. Finally, he reached a ripe age with a rule of 60 years, dying a few weeks away from his 70th birthday. His grandson could have surpassed his record, but resigned from his post before a rule of 60 years, in respect of the Kang Xi emperor.

After hearing so much about the Emperor, here is the real Elements Song.

School life

Hello, this is yi pin back with a third post. For some reason, I feel like blgging but dont feel like having anything to say, so let me voice out all my comments for today as a day. Firstly, this morning, i had expected to run 2.4 km but guess what? Someone(i am not blaming you, whoever you are) announced that 2.4 km would have to wait. In a way, it is good news as i get more time to train for it but i had wanted to see how fast i could run!! The last time i ran a long distance like this was on a treadmill  as i had no chance on the track (I was down with a cough at that time).

However, I would say lessons were great, and Mdm Lim seemed to be in a great mood so the lesson went smoothly with hardly any scoldings and stuff like that. Only Art period brought some berating for wasting time wearing P.E shirt before coming (and wasting more time for scolding us) and who was that who told us to do that?? Hmmm... Good question...

Never mind Zhu Cheng, don't be sad, you are still a great chairman.

And P.E lesson was quite scientific, measuring the heartbeat with the pulse, although i measured it by cupping my chest (ahem, and not anything whatsoever, as CJ would say) with my palm to ensure that the heartbeats were accurately-counted. And it was hilarious when Wei Ren proclaimed that his heartbeat was 72 beats because he lost his position on his wrist. Overall, quite fun, not counting all the lame exercises that we had to do. This means it is not fun.

The spelling bee was another stupid mistake, which cost me much sweat and energy waiting outside the computer lab after running from the library to the wrong classroom to put my bag, then running back to that classroom to retrieve it and meeting Samuel on the way, telling me,"Never mind, you are not late."

Anyway, the spelling bee ended without us spelling anything because the computer could not display any questions. And we were supposed to go for Malay, not this spelling bee.

Enjoy the elements song, introduced by Ms Chen.
