Hello, this is Yi Pin with a second post and a second blog skin. Since I have slacked and not posted for so long, let me recap on everything i done: Sec 1 camp, Socrates club, Homework, Holiday, and leisure-games(both computer and handphone), [SPORE, CALL OF DUTY 3(current one), Zombie Infection, Some handphone olympics (ask Wei Ren for the correct name), Bounce back, and more!!]However, it is a pity that Aloysius Poh has stopped being my supplier but when one door closes, another one opens!(and sometimes slams your face, which has a combined probability of something i am not sure of and has not calculated yet) This is because, Aloysius has decided to be my other supplier!(Correction*Aloysius Oh*)Besides, Timothy Toh has also eagerly joined my list of suppliers! Woohoo!
Okay, enough harping about non-academic stuff, now on to the academic stuff. Firstly and most foremostly(is there such a word?), MATHs!! Let us start with two maths olympiad questions first:
1. A scalene triangle has sides a, b, and c with values 4 cm, y cm and (y+2) cm respectively. When both side b and side c is increased twice in length, what is the perpendicular height of the triangle from side c?
2. Find the simplest form of √(13+2√42) -√(13-2√42) .
This should be quite easy, and try them to challenge both your mind and ... ermm, brain. And feel free to ask for more questions (or more help with questions). Maybe I should talk about my marks then, since there is already no privacy with the CMC knowing all our marks...(Which is an extremely incorrigible act to do UNLESS you give me the list of grades too). By the way, I think i am the lowest in class for history, because anybody who gets lower than me is reallly dead! And it is this dear history which pulled the 1 mark from A* of geography to a bare A2. GRRR. However, Chinese and Maths are fine, and science could have been done better if i had not always gotten Bs and B-s and etc for my worksheets.
What a waste that C++ is over!! It was really fun creating programs. However, multimedia essentials seems fun too, esp. with Windows movie maker and photoshop and adobe fireworks(what is that for? please enlighten me)and virtual easter eggs. To find out more about easter eggs, check the link.
Finally, latest news! I got 117/150 for AMC 10!! Yay!! But i did not get into second round!!!Booo!!!
